ISTANBUL STREET PHOTOGRAPHY WORKSHOP

Mentors :   Arjen Zwart and Bouwe Brouwer.

Arjen Zwart (1957)  photographing since the mid 80's  and has been teaching street photography workshops in Istanbul and Amsterdam  since 2008 .

Bouwe Brouwer (1977 )Studied fine arts and was trained as an illustrator; photographing since 2013.
Bouwe is  member of International photography collective UP

During this 5 day workshop we will help guide you through the streets of Istanbul showing you how to prepare yourself for the  ‘decisive moments’, how to add more layers and depth to your photos, and to embed your photographs with more soul.     By sharing tactics and strategies in crowded places as well as in the lively neighbourhoods you will get a
better understanding of what it takes to create opportunities and to get the most out of the situation.     You will conquer your fears of approaching strangers, interacting with them, and photographing them.    We will discuss technical settings and artistic elements : composition, content, layers, perspective, light conditions, shutter speed, apertures and choice of lens. Furthermore we will spend time to select, discuss, edit and sequence the works to get the best result. I can advise and assist you to find accomodation in walking distance of the workshop location.
REQUIREMENTS:
A rangefinder camera or SLR (film or digital) and a laptop. It’s required to have a wide-angle lens (full frame
a 28 or 35mm range/ APS frame a lens with a range between 17-21 mm) .
Laptop with photo editing software .

During 4 full days, we will be active on the streets ,  with  in the  evening Reviews, Consultation on Photoshop , LR Editing and Processing.

On the 5th. day, we will work on the final selection and edit.

Fee : €1000 Which includes;
